Brief History of the Organization

“WE FOR YOU”  a state level Govt.  registered voluntary Non-Government Organization.  It’s a non-profit making, non-political, non-religious and social welfare oriented charitable organization established in 2012. It is duly Registered under Societies registration Act XXI of 1860, vide its Reg. No.   RS/SPR /242/F 183 Of 2013-14 Dt: 29-01-2014 and has been governed its Registered office located at Gopalpur (Gohpur), Biswanath.Assam.“Green Bud Society” and “Gramin Society Development Parisad” Both are Sister organizations of WE FOR YOU. Where GBS work for Wildlife and Environment Issues and works on Livelihood and Rural Development Sector.The organization was started with around 25 persons and now it has increased to about 1360 members. Presently a group of 10 executive member has been working for all the terms and conditions. The prime objectives of the organization is to promote and development for the weaker section of the society particularly Children, Women and Specially abled Person. We mobilize support to save, protect and rebuild lives of the poorest of poor affected by crisis and humanitarian disasters.Also we have been working in the field of Education and Special Education, Preventive Healthcare, Water & Sanitation, Disaster Risk Reduction And Response, Inclusivity and Equality – Disability Transformation, Rural Skilling & Livelihood Development, Ensuring Environmental Sustainability, Empowerment of Women, Gender Equality, Child Care & Protection, Rehabilitation – setting up home and hostels, Fighting poverty, hunger and malnutrition, Promoting Technology & Accessibility – Digital Libraries, Promoting Art, Craft & Culture, Sports and Youth Development.

“WE FOR YOU” believes in people’s participation in its various activities and programs. Priority has been attached to various need based activities, which have been evolved after continuous interaction with the people at the grass root level. As a means of participatory social action, the Library has been able to initiate a few Sustainable livelihood programs in the rural areas, which have been implemented and managed in a decentralized manner.
We also take steps in the direction of social welfare through various programs including camps, seminars, Training, workshops, street plays, etc, to provide various assistance including food, medicine, clothing act. We also reduce the unemployment problem of our society and promoting various self employment generation schemes for the youth particularly for girls and women.Our society has a team of dedicated and committed young social workers, activists and volunteers. The organization works against all form of social injustice and exploitation. The organization strengthens efforts for promoting sustainable and equitable social development. The society’s focus is on motivating and mobilizing entrepreneurs for the welfare and development. The organization strives to work for the welfare of one weaker section such as landless laborers, marginal farmers, unemployed youth, street and working children, rehabilitation centre for destitute women, old age persons, health care center, environment, education and workers in the unorganized sectors in societies.
Contribute to implementation of all Sustainable Development Goals in the partner countries, giving priority to the following sectoral areas of development cooperation (Sustainable Development Goals as formulated in accordance with UNGA Resolution No A/RES/70/1 of 25 September 2015)

Management:

The management of the organization is headed by seven executive members and general body. The general body consists of personalities with social concerns from different cross section of the society. The executive committee is lead by the President and Secretary supported other qualified members of the committee and general body.

The organization is basically works in villages of Assam & North-East India and collaborate with Govt., Semi-Govt, CSR, FCR, Other organization and Individual donor of the state to carry out its activities.

Operational Strategy:

In order to achieve the mission and vision of the organization through its activities the organization has its own self generated program and has following operational strategy.

  • Through common consensus and people participation.
  • Coordinating with Government and other social voluntary organization for organized delivery of its services in the grass roots.
  • Equal participation of women in all its activities.
  • Effective making of local resources available with the organization.
  • Developing and building capacity of own human resources.
  • By hearing proper follow up and monitoring of all the activities if field.
  • Capacity building and handholding of stakeholders
  • Partnerships across stakeholders, nationally and internationally
  • Enhancing livelihood through new technologies and practices
  • Policy advisory and consultancy

MEMBERS OF THE ORGANIZATION:

The organizations prefer four types of Member as per norms of its constitution followed. These are like General member, SHG Member, Life Member, Donor Member etc. The General Member resolved decisions in its General Body Meeting and formed/Elect Executive Body in its General convention held. The executive committee members resolved decisions in its Executive Committee Meetings and they are entirely responsible in respect of its development activities undertaken. It has been enrolled more than 2350 no. of members till this year at various District of Assam.
